change in plans.

it's about noon.  woke up early this morning.  at around 8am.

the original plan was to go to thai immigration today to transfer stuff from old passport to new passport.  but that has changed. 

I noticed that I have a 90 day notice event coming up within 10 days.  so, instead of making 2 separate trips over to thai immigration, I can merge the 2 into one trip.  get both tasks done on the same day.  ..just have to wait until after the 25th.

at around 10:30am this morning, I got a call from kaito wondering when I was going to pattaya the next time around.  I mentioned tomorrow to do a 2 day trip.  but now, after a couple of hours of thinking about it, maybe it would be better to go the first week of next month sometime.

lot of people coming over to bangkok in the next week.  lot of people here already.  better to stay put for now.

for the pass hour, I did some scanning.  had this pile of receipts for a variety of computer hardware that I've purchased over the years.  decided to scan everything so that I would have a digital copy of everything for backup and future reference.  DONE!

except for being at the ranch tonight at 9pm, I have no other plans for today.  ..vege.  ..play my computer games.

we had a board meeting at the ranch tonight.

did dinner at terminal 21 food court as scheduled.  met up with super glenn at 7pm.  we talk.  we finished up dinner at 8:15pm.   headed over to the mcdonalds next door for hot coffees.  super glenn was in a good mood.  treated. ..some more talk.

while at mcdonalds, I got a text from mike jagger asking me where to take the minivan in pattaya to return to bangkok.  tried to call him.  no luck contacting him.

at 9:05pm, we part.  super glenn went back to his hotel.  I made a beeline to the ranch.  got there at 9:15pm.

had fun at the ranch tonight.  so, who all showed up, you ask?

ROLL CALL!...  kilroy the stud, sam sloane, 2 newguys, trader joe, sidney, the college girl, winnie the pooh, lady puu, gorgeous, penny, and ME-bangkokbuddy.

we did intros.  compared notes.  ogle over hot coffees and beers.

I left the place at 11:35pm.  was just able to make the last underground train running for the day.  got home at 12:15am.

it's about 12:50am now.

I'm thinking of going over to thai immigration tomorrow morning.  ..or rather later on today.  got something to do.  so, I have to hit the sack early.  thinking 2am thereabouts.

planning on making it to the ranch again tomorrow night.  same time.  same place.

a little concerned with mike jagger.

that's the lounge lizard that came over from the states about 3 weeks ago.  the guy I spent 9 days in pattaya with.  the guy who is supposed to be leaving to go home in a week.

yeah.  he's suppose to be back in bangkok now for the last week of his trip.  but this text message I just got from him indicates he doesn't know what he wants to do.  he told me in an earlier message that he is pretty much just getting wasted every night with some new friends.  staying up until dawn.

not good.  not good.  but hey.  it's his vacation.  and I'm not his mother.  so, this post is all I'm going to do to show my concern.  he's a big boy now.

and we all have to make our own choices on what to do in life.  right?

nuff said.

anyway, guess who just called me?  super glenn. we talk.  he want to see my face before he leaves.  so, we're meeting up at the food court at terminal 21 tonight.  do dinner. 

he tells me that kilroy the stud is here.  maybe I'll see the guy at the ranch tonight.

that's pretty much the latest from bangkokbuddy central.  later.

decided to do IT spring cleaning.

that means combing through all my computers.  deleting all unnecessary stuff.  then, backup everything meticulously.

my spring cleaning IT routine involves..
1) combing through everything manually to delete stuff.
2) updating all drivers and software.
3) performing ccleaner and advanced systemcare.
4) individual backups via acronis true image/easeus todo.
5) copy images to master harddrive for offsite.

as you can imagine, it takes a bit of time.  but then, being retired, I have a lot of that.  started the IT spring cleaning at 10am.  it's about 3:30pm now.  just about completed everything.  whew!

almost good to go for another year.

so, what do I plan on doing for the rest of the day, you ask?

not sure.  may go out. then, again.  may not.  will depend on the rain and my big toe.  got gout.  just a small case of it.  but enough to make me feel a little pain.  ..know what I mean?

back to the boob tube...  warehouse 13 rerun playing.

Falling Skies Season 3.

it's about 11pm.  pretty much veged all day.

at around 8pm, I was doing some surfing on the net, and the thought came to me..  haven't seen falling skies for awhile.  ..wondered if there are any new episodes?

lo and behold..  2 have played since I last watched the series.  YEAH!

I've just downloaded these 2 new episodes plus some movies.  in a minute will start watching them.  not sure when I will go to sleep.

at 59, I don't have anybody to tell me to go to sleep anymore.  hehehe.  so, I might just stay up late.

it's about 3:30pm.

would you believe it if I told you I just got up?  I actually did wake up earlier.  but I didn't feel like getting up then.  so, I went back to sleep.

all in all, slept from 1am to 3pm.  that's 14 hours.  whew!

..the last time this happened, it was a prelude to getting sick.  UGH!  so, the big question.  is my body trying to tell me something?  and if so, why can't I seem to recognize what is happening?

oh well...  what ever...  I learned a long time ago that if my body is telling me to sleep.  it's smart to do so.

anyway, I guess I'll just vege all day.   ..outside my balcony window, I can see the dark clouds gathering.  yeah.  got this feeling that it's going to start pouring down within the hour.  YIKES!

back to watching the syfy channel on tv...

a day of window shopping.

for  some reason, I felt like going out and doing some window shopping.  left my apartment at 1:30pm,  hopped on a bus (something different).  got over to pantip plaza at 2pm. started walking around.

next thing you know, it's 6:30pm.  (where did the time go?)  I remember eating my lunch at this mcdonalds over in the pratunam area.  and these 3 older thai ladies started chatting with me.  it was 20 questions time.  and I seem to answering all the questions. hehehe.

while at pantip, I got another leather cover for my passport.  (a backup).  found a little fan for my router.  picked up one of those membrane keyboard covers for my netbook for 60 baht.  there was this place on the top floor selling these stiff netbook cases for 100 baht.  got a black one.  (what a deal.)

on my way back to my place, I stopped over at foodland to pick up some fruit.  then, I bounced over to the tesco lotus at the fortune town IT mall to get some vegies.  (my frig is full now. I'm good to go where vegies are concerned for at least a week.)

I got back to my apartment at 9:30pm.  took a 30 minute hot shower.  took my merry time drying myself.  started up another pot of my vegetable soup.  turned on my tv..  showing law and order rerun.

and now, I'm writing this blog post.  the time showing my clock.. 11:40pm.

..to the peanut gallery.  yeah.  I thought about stopping off at the ranch for a hot coffee.  but I wasn't really in the mood to do so.

thinking of hitting the sack in another hour.  at around 1am.

no plans for tomorrow.  may go to the flea market.  want to get some new boxer shorts.

tidbits...  got an email from sai yeung choi.  the guy tells me he wants to come back to bangkok.  hehehe.  and he just left a few days ago.  ..sound familiar?
