well, guys. it was that time of the month again. had to go on a visa run to the border of cambodia. this time, I decided to just hop on one of those buses that cater to guys like me who are on a visa run. you pay 2000 baht or about 50 dollars and relax while the bus takes you to this small town about 4 hours away. the name of this particular outfit was called "jack golf bus tours". funny name if you ask me. try saying the name 5 times really fast, and you will understand what I mean. no joke, real company.
anyway, for your measly 50 dollars, jack golf will provide for your enjoyment - 3 first run movies, an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet, your visa, and the 9 hour roundtrip bus trip.
not a bad deal.
on this trip, I purchased 2 cartons of "l & m" cigarettes for about 3 dollars a carton for a friend. is that good? ..the lunch buffet was ok if you like thai food (which I do. hehehe.) the special dish was fillet of fish over rice. man, I chomped down big time with 3 plates of the stuff. talk about hungry.
the restaurant was in a what you could call the cambodian version of a countryside casino. sort of like a bunch of picnic tables laid out in a big garage with pretty cambodian girls tending to the various card games. kind of reminded me of what it must of looked like back in the wild wild west days. you know.. the cowboy days.
more on cambodian casinos later. right now, I'm off and running. got to shower down, eat a snack, and head on out to pattaya again. yeah man. pattaya.
