fountain of youth?

two things happened to me just now that is making me think a lot.
1) I woke up at about 7am in the morning, and,
2) I woke up totally alert.

..I mean - like I have never woken up so early with a mind so clear ever before.

so, the big question is - what did I do different last night that is making me feel so good this morning?

I didn't get laid. so, that can't be it.
I didn't go to the lobby. but that shouldn't have been the cause of it.
I didn't take any drugs. ...that's for sure.

so, what did I do?

..the only thing I can think of was - I sipped a shot of that expensive tequila last night just before going to bed.

hmmm....?

..I remember this story an old chinese guy I met in san francisco told me way back around 1986. the guy was about 83 years old at the time. what struck me odd about him was that he was so energetic, and he had this glowing skin. in my mind, I thought - at 83 years of age, this is unusual. so, I asked him what was his secret to his long healthy life. his reply was quote, "every month I buy an expensive bottle of brandy. and I place an expensive piece of ginsing in the bottle. let the two sit for a month, then, once every night just before I go to bed, I take a swig of the brandy. just one shot. that's it."

suffice to say, I really didn't believe his story. but I didn't want to call him a liar, so, I just smiled and left him.

as I was leaving, he said one more thing that I remember. ..with a smile, he said quote, "I can still do it."

funny guy. makes you wonder though... could there be some truth to his story?

it took me all of 5 minutes to write this piece. and I am still feeling great. and I'm also starting to feel very hungry.

hmmm....?

after some breakfast, I think I will go look for a piece of good ginsing in chinatown today.
