where to stay?

this question comes up all the time when I hang out in the lobby.

the question is - where can I find a place to stay in bangkok that is not too expensive, yet has a lot to offer in the way of places nearby to hang out at, and things to see?

I always tell people to check out the www.travelfish.org website. they have one of the longest list of places to stay at in southeast asia with pictures, prices, and commentary. in fact, I haven't come across another site that has a longer list. the travelfish website also has a message board, an online trip planner, and offer tour brochures which they will send you for free on request.

if you want a place to stay right away, check out their guesthouse locator which is located on their home page. (see attached pic.)

again, if you are planning for a trip to southeast asia, you would do well to refer to travelfish.

changing the subject...

at the last minute, I decided not to go to mcdonalds. instead, I went to the one of these noodle shops on the street and had a bowl of noodles. for some reason, I just wanted to spend more time reading up on affiliate stuff, and blogs.

I can go to mcdonalds tomorrow.

received an email from mike jagger today. he missed the plane, and he thinks he won't be able to come back to bangkok until around january 23th at the very earliest. too bad. I really had my heart set on going to the siz with him like - yesterday.
