on a personal note...

while hanging out in the lobby tonight, I notice a number of lounge lizards who are currently stranded in town. waiting to leave. there are also others who are expecting to leave within a week. but because of the PAD shutdown, they believe they will also be stranded.

currently, I am not really worried about the situation. but that could very easily change with just one bad incident.

in preparation for this sort of scenario, I have already planned out a contingency plan. simply put, if a major escalation in violence occurs, I will quickly vacate my apartment, and run down to any of 4 different western embassies/consulates located throughout bangkok.

if I happen to be in pattaya and areas thereabouts, I will vacate my lodgings and take myself asap over to the naval base which is located nearby in sattihip.

will I have to activate my contingency plan, you ask?

I hope not - is the best answer I can provide you at this time.

the nightlife scene has really took a dive. hardly anybody hanging out like before. I notice that there are more undercover police around. I like to think they are there to protect us. but you never know...

on a side note... at night when I usually board a bus to return home after a long day hanging out, I usually take a number 2 or number 511 bus to do so. for the last 2 days, these buses seem to have stopped running all night like they used to do. I wonder why?

being a boyscout, I have stocked up my frig with food to last me a week. ..just in case something happens. enough water for 2 weeks.

anyway, I think I'll get some sleep now. it's about 4:30am now. turkey dinner at 4:30pm.
