Thanksgiving day.

thanksgiving day started out with my meeting up with da brain over at pantip plaza. I wanted to shop around for a new printer. the time was about 1pm.

at 3pm, we parted. in celebration of thanksgiving. a number of us lounge lizards agreed to meet up at the bourbon street restaurant at around 4:30pm for an early turkey dinner.

during the meal, the watcher tells me that mike jagger needs some help moving things. mike jagger is leaving the land of smiles next month. so, after the thanksgiving dinner - around 8pm thereabouts, I joined up with the watcher and went over to mike jagger's place to move things. we must have spent like 3 hours doing this.

later on, at around 11:30pm, the 3 of us went over to the lobby to hang out. the first hour was slow with hardly anybody around. but as the night progressed, a number of lounge lizards appeared...

timberwolf, the sarge, denver terry, errol flynn, dennis the menace, tiger, miguel hidalgo, kilroy the stud, tripod, clint eastwood, mike jagger, the watcher, the silicon valley man, sweetheart, lady puu, craig constantine, mr. jeeves, gorgeous, kid galahad, duece bigalow, santa claus.

miguel hidalgo introduced me to a new guy.

duece bigalow came out. he was absent for a week. he was sick with the flu.

the major topic for discussion for the night was - the takeover of the airports in bangkok by PAD. a number of the lounge lizards were left stranded here in bangkok because of the takeover of the airports by PAD. others are worried that their upcoming flights will be canceled too. and that they too will be left stranded here in bangkok when their expected departure dates arrive.

..I could feel the disappointments in the air. the air was thick with unhappiness.

the sarge reported that "somebody" said that the airports would be opened up on saturday. (that's tomorrow.) it remains to be seen if that will happen.

at around 3am, we all sort of left the parking lot. I ended up at the mcdonalds chomping down on a cheeseburger value meal before going home.

after mcdonalds, I went to the bus stop and waited for a bus for like 30 minutes. and none came. so, I walked home. along the way, I saw 2 soldiers with riot gear and weapons standing in the shadows. got home at around 4:30am. was tired. so, rather than play computer games for a hour or so, I went to sleep right away.

it is now 10:30am. up for toilet run. nothing scheduled for today. just relax and recuperate. back to sleep in a minute.
