my online dating research review.

the following is the end result of my research on "how to set up an online dating website"..  (I don't mind displaying the info.  hey.  I'm retired.  right?)

there are basically 3 ways to do it... 
(option 1) you can either do it yourself ,
(option 2) buy the software, and install it yourself on a host that you pay for,
(option 3) partner up with an online website that sets up the online dating site for you in return for a cut of the action (commissions - typically around 65%.)

OPTION 1
option 1 is self-explanatory.  too hard for most of us.  so, I won't go into it.

OPTION 2
option 2 is definitely a possibility.  there are several vendors selling the software for building your own online dating service.  the ones that I found interesting are..

there are many other software packages out there.  I checked out maybe 15 different packages.  but it gets overkill looking at too many.  so, I narrowed it down to the ones listed above for consideration.

with option 2, you have to consider hosting/domain options.  I listed below what seems to be the cheapest and most stable companies providing the service.  cost is about 4 dollars a month for hosting.  9 dollars a year for a domain name.

again, there are many options to select from for hosting/domains.  I picked the 2 above because I'm familiar with them.  good, and dependable.

OPTION 3
now, we get to option 3..  if you go with option 3 to create your own online dating website, you will have no headaches.  it's like setting up a blog with blogger, or wordpress.  you register an account with them, and then select your template.  that's it.  basically a no brainer.  they will provide you hosting space, and even a subdomain name for FREE if you like. 

the only bad thing about option 3 is you have to give the guys who set up your no brainer online dating site upwards to 65% commission for every person who spends money on the site they setup for you.
