it was a day of buffets.

yesterday's events....

yeah.  it's saturday now.  about 11am in the morning.  got so busy yesterday, I wasn't able to report on yesterday's events until now.

so, what happened yesterday, you  ask?

in a nutshell, it was a day of buffets.  at 11:30am, I met up with gomer pyle for lunch at this roundtable pizza buffet that is located across the street from the atlantis casino. cost was about $7.50.  that's like 250 thai baht.  ate like pig.  stuffed myself.  roundtable pizza is not bad.

after the pizza buffet, gomer and I went over to warren buffets shop.  we hung out.  talked.  maybe 15 minutes into our bullshit session, warren buffet says he wants to treat us to this buffet at the silver legacy casino.  never been there.  the buffet is called flavors.

not sure what to think since I had just finished eating at a buffet.  but hey.  warren wanted to treat.  so, I was not going to argue with him.  hehehe.

since we had like 5 hours to go before the buffet at flavors, I decided to go home for a nap.  remember.. I'm FULL.  so, I get back to my place at 4pm.  sleep for about an hour.  wake up.

at 5pm, I decided to go the silver legacy casino to check it out first before warren buffet and gomer pyle make it over.  the place is BIG.  merges with the circus circus and the el dorado casinos.  BIG.

I got lost.

when we all finally met up which was around 6pm thereabouts, warren took us to the second floor of the place where he met up with a friend of his who works at the casino.  floor manager?  nice guy.  he takes us to flavors buffet.  it was  a seafood buffet. 

talk about a GREAT buffet.  I think this is probably the very best buffet I have ever been to.  BAR NONE.  that's saying a lot since I've been to a lot of different buffets.  on this particular night, I pigged out big time.  they had king crab - all-you-can-eat.  they had prime rib so good you could cut it with a spoon.  a fork even.  their clam chowder, and their chicken noodle soup was perfect.  did I tell you about their desserts yet?  they had everything I liked.  I had a chocolate eclair that was not just coated with chocolate.  the chocolate was like a slice off a belgium chococlate bar.  they had cherries joubilee, 4 different fruit pies.  they had mexican, ravioli, etc, etc, etc.  they had fresh oysters, clams, smoked salmon, 6 different fishes... cod, trout, etc...  they had calamari steaks...

good, good, good.  like warren buffet kept saying all the time we were eating.  everything good. everything good.  ..coming back next week.  hehehe.

we finished up with the buffet at around 9pm.  I was so full I didn't want to do anything except go to sleep.  after about 15 minutes of ogling the cocktail waitresses, and checking out the casino, I made a beeline back to my place.

in bed at 10pm.  I was grasping for air.  honest to god.  I fully expected to get heartburn from all the food.  but that didn't happen.  I think it was because all the food I ate was quality food at the buffet.  aaahhhhhh.

anyway, I got to run.  another report tonight....
